Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 5, 2026
1. Who we are
Break's Studio is a one-person indie game studio run by solo developer Rakan. In this Policy, "Break's Studio", "we", "us" and "our" all mean Rakan as the developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you play our games or visit this website (the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Services you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.
2. Games covered
This Policy applies to every game published by Break's Studio, now and in the future, unless a game has its own separate privacy policy. Our games currently include:
- Idle Mortal
3. Information we collect
We try to collect as little information as possible. We do not ask for your name, home address or phone number to play our games.
Information collected automatically
- Device information — device model, operating system and version, language, country/region, screen size.
- Identifiers — a player ID created by Unity Gaming Services when you first play, advertising IDs (such as Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, where you allow it), and app-specific or install IDs.
- Game data — your progress, level, in-game items, purchases and settings, saved on your device and on our game servers (Unity Cloud Save) so your progress isn't lost.
- Leaderboard data — your player name and scores or rankings.
- Usage data — how you interact with the game, session length, features used, ads viewed.
- Diagnostic data — crash reports, error logs and performance information (such as frame rate and loading times), used to find and fix problems.
- Network information — IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location (country or city, not precise location).
Information you give us
- If you choose a player name, it is shown publicly to other players on leaderboards, together with your scores and rankings. Please don't use your real name or anything personal as your player name.
- If you email us for support or feedback, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, such as purchase receipts.
Purchase information
- In-app purchases are processed by the app store (Google Play, Apple App Store) through Unity In-App Purchasing. We never see or store your payment card details. We receive a purchase receipt — such as the item bought, price, currency and a transaction ID — so we can check the purchase is valid and give you your items.
4. How we use information
- To run the game, save your progress and deliver items you buy or earn.
- To analyze crashes, errors and performance so we can find and fix bugs and keep the game running smoothly.
- To understand how players use our games, for example which features are played and where players get stuck, so we can balance gameplay and make improvements.
- To show advertisements, including personalized ads where you have allowed them.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, and to keep the Services secure.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis (such as in the EU/UK), we rely on: performing our contract with you (providing the game), our legitimate interests (improving and securing the game), your consent (for example personalized ads), and legal obligations.
We don't sell or share your information
The only exceptions are:
- Service providers that power the game: the ad, analytics, crash-reporting and purchase services listed in section 5. They process data on our behalf to show ads, report crashes, measure performance and handle purchases, under their own privacy policies. Ad partners may use your advertising ID to personalize ads only if you allow it (see section 6).
- Legal reasons: if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our players or the public, for example to stop fraud.
5. Third-party partners
Our games are made with the Unity game engine and use third-party services that collect and process information under their own privacy policies:
- Unity Technologies — the Unity engine and Unity Gaming Services, which may include Authentication (your player account), Cloud Save (saving progress), Leaderboards, Unity Analytics (how the game is played), Cloud Diagnostics (crash and error reports) and Unity In-App Purchasing (handling and validating purchases).
- Advertising — Unity Ads and/or Unity LevelPlay (ad mediation), which may show ads from other ad networks it works with (for example Google AdMob, AppLovin, Meta Audience Network and similar). Ad partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, device information and ad interaction data to show and measure ads and to prevent ad fraud.
- App stores — Google Play and the Apple App Store, which process in-app purchases and payments, and provide services such as Google Play Games and Apple Game Center.
Links to these partners' privacy policies:
- Unity (engine, Analytics, Ads, In-App Purchasing)
- Unity LevelPlay (ironSource)
- Google (Google Play, AdMob)
- Apple (App Store)
Unity also lets you see and manage the data its services hold about you. Where available, you can open this from the game's settings, or visit Unity's privacy page linked above.
6. Advertising choices
Our games are free to play and supported by ads. These may include banner ads, full-screen (interstitial) ads and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for an in-game reward. Ads may be personalized based on your device's advertising ID and activity. You can control this at any time:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track".
- iOS (App Tracking Transparency): our games will ask your permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads will not use your IDFA.
- Where required by law (e.g. EU/UK/California), our games will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change your choice in the game's settings where available.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
7. Data retention
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — for example, while you keep playing, and for a reasonable period afterwards — unless a longer period is required by law. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. Third-party partners keep data according to their own policies.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
Our games are rated 12+ on the app stores for their content (mild cartoon fantasy violence). This rating describes the game's content only. To play and create an account, players must be at least 13 years old, as explained in our Terms of Service.
Our games are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country, such as 16 in some EU countries). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that account and its data as quickly as possible.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us at support@breakstudio.net and we will delete it. Parents can also use their device's parental controls (such as Google Family Link or Apple Screen Time) to manage which games their children can download and what they can buy.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time (for example for personalized ads);
- receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email us at support@breakstudio.net.
11. Deleting your data
You can delete your account and its data in either of these ways:
Option 1: In the game
- Open the game's Settings and choose Delete Account, then confirm.
- Your account is deleted straight away, and the related data is removed from our game servers.
Option 2: By email
- Email support@breakstudio.net with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
- Tell us which game(s) the request is for, and include your player ID from the game's settings so we can find your account.
- We will confirm and complete your request within 30 days.
In both cases, we delete your player account and the game data linked to it (such as saved progress, items, purchase records and leaderboard entries) from Unity Gaming Services.
Uninstalling a game removes the data stored locally on your device. Data held by third-party partners (such as advertising IDs) can also be reset in your device settings as described above. Some information may be kept where we are legally required to do so.
12. International transfers
We and our partners may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses used by our partners) to protect your information.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Effective date" above and, for significant changes, may notify you in-game or on this website.
14. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at support@breakstudio.net.
